This time, we’re putting sustainability into our own hands – literally. As part of the Creative Sustainability Cycle, we’ll explore how things that would otherwise be thrown away can be given a new life, a new purpose and a completely new look.
Get ready for a world of ideas, creativity and hands-on experimentation, following a simple sustainable rhythm: recycle, reuse, create!
Virtual Exhibition | 10:00–17:00
Step into our virtual exhibition and discover the world of sustainable creativity and reuse.
Sustainability is not just a way of thinking. It is something we can create, experience and live.
Come and see what can happen when we give discarded items a second chance.
Sustainable Fashion Design | 10:00–11:30
What do an old T-shirt, imagination and a great idea have in common? They can become a completely new fashion piece!
In this fun and creative workshop, we’ll transform worn-out clothes and other discarded materials into unique fashion creations. We’ll bring fashion trends from the past into the present and explore the hidden potential of things we would normally consider useless.
Bring along an old piece of clothing – a T-shirt, shirt, dress or pair of trousers – and we’ll give it a new life together. With a little creativity, something old can become something completely new, useful and uniquely yours.
Sustainable Fashion Show | 12:00–12:30
The creations won’t be left hidden in the wardrobe! They’ll take centre stage in a real sustainable fashion show, where you’ll have the chance to present your unique creations yourself.
The Creative Sustainability Series is part of Researchers’ Day and the RHYTHM OF LIFE project, which is part of the European Researchers’ Night – a European initiative that aims to bring science and research closer to the public and highlight the important role that knowledge and research play in our everyday lives.
