The Pohorje forest is a living ecosystem shaped by daily, nocturnal and seasonal rhythms, as well as the life cycles of its organisms. Periods of growth and dormancy, reproduction, maturation and renewal drive the processes that sustain forest life. Together, these interconnected processes support biodiversity and maintain the balance and resilience of the forest ecosystem. The forest is therefore a dynamic system whose functioning is based on the interplay of natural cycles, ecological processes and relationships among organisms.
