The event will be dedicated to the screening of the film Slovenian Water Circle: Dragonja, which will take us along the course of one of the most recognisable rivers of Slovenian Istria — from its hinterland, through a diverse landscape, all the way to where it meets the sea. The film reveals the importance of the Dragonja River as a valuable natural area, a habitat for numerous species, and an important link between land, river, coast, and sea.
After the screening, a discussion with experts will follow on why research, understanding, and protection of riverine, coastal, and marine environments are essential for the future of this area.
