Through The Journey of Water, we will actively explore the importance of water and its essential characteristics using all our senses. During the tour, we will discover where water can be found, how much water there is in the world, how we use it today and how people related to it in the past. We will gather around a real well and explore how it works using a model. We will listen to the stories told by two ancient vessels – a pile-dwelling jug and a Roman balsamarium. During the workshop, we will recreate the water cycle through a movement-based story and explore how it works through an experiment. Throughout the programme, children will be encouraged through conversation and active participation to develop an awareness of the importance of water for life.
