Nimble on our feet, together with pupils of Ruše Primary School we explored the remarkable nature of Pohorje and its rhythms of life. The immersive interpretation, led by experts of the Pohorje Regional Park of the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation, took us through forests, upland meadows and paths crossing the sensitive world of Pohorje's peat bogs. We made our way all the way to Črno Lake. We discovered the rich geological treasures revealed on walks across the Pohorje uplands, and the most valuable nature-conservation areas of Pohorje, protected as Slovenia's fourth regional park. We consolidated our knowledge at the nature-interpretation centrre of Pohorje, at Trije kralji, where the area's rich mythological heritage was, among other things, brought closer to the children.
