In the Rhythm of Pohorje’s Nature is an interactive experience where young participants explore the remarkable diversity of Pohorje’s ecosystems and discover the connections between plants, animals and their habitats. Through exploring natural cycles and ecological processes, they gain an understanding of how interdependent organisms contribute to the functioning, resilience and stability of the web of life.
Visitors will explore the hidden rhythms of communication among organisms through hands-on, interactive demonstrations, listening to the vibrational communication of insects and smelling chemical signals used by plants and insects, while discovering how these signals change over time and how human activities can disrupt such communication.
At the NIB Open Day, we will explore the world of molds, mycotoxins, and food safety through a photography exhibition, hands-on experiments, microscopic observations, and photography.
