High-stem meadow orchards are true treasure troves of life. Visitors will be able to discover the diversity of life’s rhythms at the “In the Orchard” Interpretation Centre and at information points throughout the orchard.
High-stem meadow orchards are true treasure troves of life. Visitors will be able to discover the diversity of life’s rhythms in the orchard and the surrounding forest through a variety of exploration stations at the “In the Orchard” Interpretation Centre and at information points throughout the orchard. At the exploration stations, experts and researchers will present nine different fascinating topics, inviting visitors to learn through hands-on experiments, conversations and direct observation. An engaging combination of practical activities and encounters with experts will offer visitors an opportunity to discover the hidden world of the orchard and forest and to experience nature in an interactive and inspiring way.
The exhibition Nature and Mythology of Pohorje, on display at the Noordung Centre, reveals the richness of Pohorje’s natural heritage through interpretive texts, illustrations and nature photography. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the unique features of Pohorje’s landscapes and habitats and discover why the region is recognised as one of the most important nature conservation areas in Slovenia and Europe.
The exhibition Nature and Mythology of Pohorje will be presented at the Noordung Centre, where visitors will explore the outstanding natural heritage of Pohorje through interpretive texts, illustrations and nature photography. The exhibition highlights the unique landscapes, habitats and biodiversity that make Pohorje one of the most valuable nature conservation areas in Slovenia and Europe.
Nocturnal Pollinators of Pohorje is an experiential and exploratory experience where participants discover the importance of nocturnal moths for plants and other organisms, while exploring the diversity of life that emerges after sunset.
Pohorje from Space, Space from Pohorje is an educational experience where participants learn about the work of the Noordung Centre and modern Earth observation satellite systems. By exploring satellite images of Pohorje across all four seasons, they will discover how space technologies help monitor environmental changes and improve our understanding of natural processes and cycles.
Legends of Pohorje in the Rhythm of Time is an interactive storytelling experience where participants explore the rich mythological heritage of Pohorje through theatre and folk tales. They discover its close connection with nature and gain insight into the importance of preserving and passing on cultural heritage to future generations.
