Through engaging, hands-on experiments, the children learned about the work of researchers and discovered the “magical” world of anthocyanins—natural pigments that change colour depending on the acidity of a solution. Using red cabbage juice, baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice, they created colour changes and practised using test tubes and droppers. The activity sparked their curiosity and made them feel like real scientists.
